Ooze X improved my print productions skills with the medium that it was printed on. This was my first time working with metallic ink with a printer, so laying out the dieline and the metallic ink layer was a beneficial project for the growth of my design skills. Ooze X also started my journey with compliance for multiple states, dealing with lawyers, and making sure each product's packaging was not breaking any rules for the given state.
Mylar bag separations for Ooze X. This was the first time using metallic ink and producing layer and color matching with the brands dark green. I did some back and forth with the printer to get the colors to all match up.
A different device but the process was the same for this project.
Here is an example of changing up the same product for compliance depending on the state it is going to.
On the left, this package is for Oklahoma. Oklahoma requires exact sizes for their THC warning icon, along with the verbiage and location of their METRC tags.
On the right side, is for New Mexico. While New Mexico doesn't have as many legal regulations regarding the packaging, their warning text needs to be approved and after talking with the legal team in New Mexico, we decided it was best leaving an opening along the bottom in case of change regulations.
